In Ruma And Rowangchari upazila of Bandarban,The ban on tourist travel has been extended till November 20 in the seventh phase.This matter was informed in a public notice signed by Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji on Wednesday (November 16) afternoon.
From October 10,The joint anti-terror operation began in the hilly areas bordering Ruma-Roangchhari,Thanchi and Alikadam upazilas of Bandarban district.Bandarban district administration has issued a temporary ban on tourist travel taking into account the safety of tourists in this campaign.
According to the reliable sources of the administration,anti-terror operations of joint forces are going on in remote areas of Bandarban.Tourist travel ban has been extended in Ruma and Rowangchari upazilas till November 20 considering the safety of tourists.However,There are no restrictions on the travel of local and foreign tourists in the other 5 upazilas of the district.
