Training of tourist guides and drivers in Bandarban

Trained tourist guides and drivers in Bandarban on safe driving, environment protection,Usage and creating a tourist friendly supportive environment.This training was held on Wednesday (September 14) at Bandarban Sadar Upazila Parishad hall.

Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji was present as the chief guest on the occasion.Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Shajia Afroz presided over the event.

While speaking as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji said that the role of tourist guides and drivers is no less important to make Aparupa Bandarban a tourist-friendly district.The district administration is working with the aim and objective of providing maximum service to the tourists coming to Bandarban district.Regular tourist centers are being modernized.

However,every person involved in this sector related to tourism should play a responsible role with sincerity so that Bandarban district can be recognized as a role model district of Bangladesh in the tourism sector.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted various initiatives of the government with the aim of developing a safe tourism district and also provided various directions to the drivers on various relevant issues.

Sadar Upazila Chairman AKM Jahangir, Executive Magistrate Rajeev Kumar Biswas, various tourist guides of Sadar district, leaders of tourist vehicle management committee and drivers were present. According to the organizers,60 tourist guides and drivers of tourist vehicles from the district headquarters participated in this day-long training.Bandarban Youth and Sports Development Sadar Upazila Committee is implementing the training.
