The Honorable Regional Commander thanked the Mayor of Bandarban Municipality Md.Islam Baby and all concerned for the successful conclusion of the tournament.
Naikhyangchhari Upazila team defeated Alikadam Upazila team 1-0 in a match held at Bandarban District Stadium on Friday (July 1) afternoon to secure the championship title of the tournament.
In the first half of the match, Naikhongchhari Upazila team’s Mankya Marma scored the only goal and Naikhongchhari Upazila team won the champion trophy of Army Region Football Tournament-22.
Alikadam Upazila team got One penalty in the game but could not score due to missed shot.In the second half,Alikadam’s players did not score a goal even though they gave a spectacular football game all over the field.As a result,They have to leave the field with the runners-up trophy.
At the end of the match,Honourable Region Commander Brigadier General Md.Ziaul Haque handed Trophy to the players of the Champion and Runners-up team.
At This Time DGFI Date Commander GS Colonel ABM Farooquzzaman,BGB Sector Commander Colonel Abul Hasnat Shahriar Iqbal,Zone Commander Lt. Col. Mahmudul Hasan, PSC,Bandarban Municipal Mayor Mohammad Islam Baby Were present At The Final Game As special guests.
Also present on the occasion were Deputy Commander of Sadar Army Zone Major Mahmudul Hasan Sohag,PSC,JSO-2 (Int) Captain Naeem Parvez, Captain of Army Zone Misbahul Islam Fouad.
Naikhyangchhari XI captain Usai Mong Marma was the top scorer in the tournament.Prohlaching Marma of the same team was selected as the best player.
It may be mentioned that the Bandarban Sena Region Football Tournament was inaugurated on Friday (June 24) at the Bandarban District Stadium.8 Teams participated in the tournament.
