On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence,table tennis competition has been held under the annual sports program 2021-22 of the directorate of sports.The table tennis competition organized by Bandarban District Sports Office under the overall supervision of Bandarban District Sports Officer Main Uddin Milki was completed on Thursday (March 24) afternoon.Bandashban Hill District Council member and convener of sports department Bashoiching Chowdhury distributed prizes as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the competition. Presided over by Little Star Club President Thuisingpru Lubu,the event was attended by special guests as District Council Member Singh Young Mro,District Women’s Sports Association Treasurer and District Sports Association Member Nini Pru.The guests handed over the table tennis bat prizes to the winners.16 players participated in the competition in two categories of senior and junior selected from 30 players.Eight games were played in this knockout competition.Meanwhile,on the same day,a table tennis training certificate was held for boys and girls under 12-14 years of age in Bandarban Sadar Upazila.Completion of this training and distribution of training certificates was held for 15 days.30 children participated in this training organized in collaboration with Little Star Club.Sushmoy Thanchangya, Monghla Thoai Chak and Abusing Marma provided training in this training organized at Puran Rajbari ground.In this regard,Bandarban District Sports Officer Main Uddin Milki said, “On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence, various events are being organized in Bandarban district throughout the year under the annual sports program of the Directorate of Sports.” The Bandarban District Sports Office will continue to organize such training programs and competitions to ensure regular sports activities for the players.
