Inauguration of 15 days swimming training

Under the annual sports program 2023-24 organized by the Department of Sports, a 15-day swimming training (U-15) was inaugurated by the Bandarban District Sports Office.The training was inaugurated on Tuesday (May 14) at Suwalak Mro Residential High School Hallroom.

Sadar Upazila Parishad Female Vice Chairman Yoin Sa Pru Marma was present as the chief guest in the program organized under the presided over by Ratan Kanti Chakma,assistant head teacher of Mro Residential High School.In the event organized under the overall supervision of District Sports Officer Main Uddin Milki, the Executive Member of District Sports Association,Mr.Aung Cha Mong,Member of District Corruption Prevention Committee, Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal) were present as special guests.

Teachers, trainers and trainees were present.30 students from different educational institutions are participating in this 15-day training.On this day,jerseys,life jackets, pants and other sports equipment for swimming were distributed among the participants in the training.District Sports Officer Main Uddin Milki said that the main goal of this training is to search for talent and select talented swimmers from the grass root level.

After the training,a competition will be organized with these trainees.Our such arrangement is to make them suitable for participation in national level swimming competitions.Bandarban District Sports Organization is providing full support in the training.
