BTS member Jimin has undergone surgery for appendicitis, as well as being infected with the coronavirus.

Big Hit Music released a statement Monday about Jimin’s current health on the Weavers app, which connects K-pop stars and fans.

According to the statement, Jimin suddenly felt abdominal pain and mild sore throat on Sunday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital with appendicitis. Kovid infection was also detected in the sample test.

He underwent surgery on Monday morning. Doctors say the surgery was successful and he is currently being treated at the hospital’s quarantine.
