On Thursday,March 17,the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation,millions of Bengalis from all over the world celebrated the Bernil festival of joy.

A discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the overall patronage of Bandarban Hill District Council and under the supervision of Satyajit Majumder Manu,Deputy Superintendent of Government Children’s Family.

District Council member Kya Sa Pru Marma was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by Ting Ting Ma, a member of Bandarban Hill District Council and convener of the Convening Committee on Social Services.

District Council Member Satya Panji Tripura,Social Services Office Assistant Director Urvashi Dewan, Former District Council Member Philip Tripura,Local Ward Councilor Ajit Kanti Das,Women Councilor Deepika Rani Tanchangya was present as the special guest.Prizes were awarded to 18 students who won quiz,composition and drawing competitions.

Later,District Council member Ting Ting Mai attended a luncheon with all the students, journalists and children’s family officials,teachers and staff.During this time he sought out and exchanged views with the students of the visually impaired school.
