In continuation of this,Bandarban Army Region distributed gifts in the holy month of Ramadan on Monday (March 11).Bandarban Army Region Commander Brigadier General Ghulam Mahiuddin Ahmed,SGP,NDC,AFWC, PSC,PHD was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Newly appointed Region Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Mehdi Hasan,AFWC,PSC,Army Zone Commander Lt. Col. ASM Mahmudul Hasan,PSC,Acting (G2-I) Captain Abdul Mannan were present on the occasion.
While speaking as the chief guest, Region Commander Golam Mahiuddin said, Bangladesh Army and Bandarban Army Region have been working for many years to build Bandarban of harmony.Previously, Bandarban Army Region has been cooperating at various levels to enrich the religious rituals and culture of all local ethnic groups including autumn Durga Puja,Christmas festival.Ramadan,the holy fasting month of the Muslim community is no exception.
This gift of Mahe Ramadan can assured give some comfort and freness to our local public.On this day,386 families were given food items as a gift for Ramadan.Each gift packet contained 3 kg of chickpeas,1 kg of dates,2 kg of onions,2 packets of tank,1 kg of oil and 2 kg of sugar.
