Many Flood-Affected People Received Humanitarian Assistance From The Bandarban Army Region

Bangladesh Army’s Bandarban Army Region has given humanitarian aid including cash, educational materials to hundreds of women,men and students affected by the recent terrible floods in Bandarban. Bandarban Army Region Commander Brigadier General Golam Mohiuddin Ahmed,SGP,NDC,AFWC,PSC,PHD handed over humanitarian aid to the flood victims at Bandarban Cantonment on Thursday (August 31).

On this day,Region Commander handed over Tk 10 lakh 95 thousand in cash, educational materials, tins and various relief items among 107 people of various communities affected by the recent floods in Bandarban.At that time,the commander of the headquarters zone of the army, Lt. Col. Mahmudul Hasan, PSC,Major Shayekh Uz Zaman along with the officers of various ranks of the army and the affected people were present.

It is known that the Bandarban Army Region has given 8,50,000 Tk in cash to two thousand two hundred and eighty nine families in seven upazilas.In addition,the army has distributed 250,000 liters of clean water and free treatment and medicine to 4,180 patients.This type of humanitarian activities will continue on the part of the army in the future as well.
