

Bandarban Army Region organized drawing competition and prize distribution to inculcate the sense of culture, patriotism, harmony and love for nature among the students and to develop creativity.
This painting competition was held at Bandarban Cantonment Public School and College with the participation of the students of the educational institutions under Bandarban zone on Saturday (August 6) morning.
Later,Prizes were distributed among the winners of the painting competition in the auditorium of this reputed educational institution.Bandarban Region Commander Brigadier General Md.Ziaul Haque NDC, AFWC,PSC was present as the chief guest in the prize distribution ceremony.
Bandarban Zone Commander Lt. Col. Mahmudul Hasan,PSC,Cantonment Public School and College Principal Lt. Col. Sirajul Islam Ukil,Army Region JSO-3 (Education) Captain Faisal were present on the occasion.
Region Commander Md.Ziaul Haque wished To all the best to the students present at the prize distribution ceremony and thanked them for participating in a creative competition like painting.
At this time,He called on the students to continue their studies regularly in order to grow well in the society besides reading books,newspapers and magazines.
The Region Commander said that the Bangladesh Army has been providing all-out assistance to the people of Chittagong Hill Tracts,including the Bengalis,in times of emergency.Today’s painting competition as A part of building bridges of communal harmony is an exemplary example of that.
The Region Commander also said that the Bangladesh Army will continue to work tirelessly in the future to improve the quality of life of the people of all ethnic groups, including the minority groups in the hilly areas.On this occasion,Region Commander gave prizes to 50 students who won in different groups of painting competition.
According to Bandarban Army Region sources,on the same day,the largest painting competition in the history of the district was held simultaneously with the students of the educational institutions under the control of Alikadam, Ruma, Naikshyongchari and Bolipara zones along with Bandarban zone.
In this painting competition, 748 students of 48 educational institutions participated in the painting competition under the overall supervision of Bandarban Army Region.
