The police will take strict action to discipline the road and prevent accidents From 1st July: Zarin Akhtar,BPM

A special meeting has been held on road discipline and prevention of accidents.

The meeting on Monday (June 26) was chaired by Bandarban Superintendent of Police Zarin Akhtar,BPM.

At the meeting,The Superintendent of Police said that “the Bandarban district police will launch a strict operation from next Friday (July 1) to restore order on the roads and prevent accidents”.

Superintendent of Police Zarin Akhtar said, “We have noticed an increase in road accidents in Bandarban district in recent times.” With countless casualties happening.

Superintendent of Police Zarin Akhtar also said that “there was no alternative to a tough campaign to prevent road accidents and restore order”.

The meeting was attended by Bandarban Municipality Mayor Mohammad Islam Baby, Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Pal,Roads and Highways Department Executive Engineer Mohammad Moslehuddin Chowdhury, Shailshova Road Transport Association President Abdul Kuddus,President of Truck Owners Association Amal Kanti Das,
Bandarban Press Club President Aminul Islam Baccu and General Secretary Minarul Haque were present.

Strict instructions were given to the leaders of transport including easybikes, motorcycles,Mahindra,buses and trucks to ensure discipline in the meeting.

Meanwhile,The announcement of the Superintendent of Police has been welcomed by the people of all walks of life.
