The Shoiloshova Road Transport Workers Union has provided financial assistance of Tk 60,000 to each of the 15 members of the worker’s union who died during the two-year period (2020 and 21) from its own funds.
On Sunday (April 17) morning, Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) Appeared as the chief guest and handed over the grant to the families of the deceased members.
Former Sadar Upazila Chairman of Bandarban and President of Shoiloshova Road Transport Workers Union Abdul Kuddus Chairman presided over the financial assistance program organized at the residence of the Hill Minister.
Meanwhile,Deputy Director of Local Government Md.Lutfur Rahman,Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md.Reza Sarwar,District Awami League Vice President Uzzal Kanti Das,District Council Member Mozammel Haque Bahadur,District Red Crescent Society General Secretary Amal Kanti Das,General Secretary of Transport Owners Association Subrata Kanti Jhantu,Acting General Secretary of Shoiloshova Road Transport Workers Union Amal Kanti Das was present.
At that time,a total of 9 lakh Taka was handed over to the families of 15 deceased members from Shoiloshova’s own funds.
Meanwhile,Minister Bir Bahadur Shoiloshova lauded the provision of such grants from their own funds.The Same Time,Minister Bir Bahadur announced an immediate financial grant of two lakh Taka to Shoiloshova Road Transport Workers Union.
