Under the supervision of Bandarban Army Zone,Iftar items have been provided to 06 orphanages under Bandarban Sadar Upazila on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan.A total of 415 teachers and students of six orphanages under Sadar Upazila were given 30-day Iftar items as per their requirements.

Lt. Col. Mahmudul Hasan,Zone Commander, Bandarban Army Zone,PSC was present as the Chief Guest at the distribution of Iftar items.On Tuesday (April 5) morning,Captain Misbahul Islam Fuad,Zonal Staff Officer of Bandarban Army Zone,officiated the Iftar distribution ceremony.

Major SM Mahmudul Hasan Sohag,PSC, Deputy Commander,Army Zone and representatives of invited Madrasas and Orphanages were present on the occasion.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Zone Commander Lt. Col. Mahmudul Hasan,PSC said, “We are happy to be able to assist you in providing necessary Iftar items for the orphan students of your institution on the occasion of Holy Ramadan.We hope that your organization will benefit at least a little by providing this Iftar material.The zone commander further said that besides today’s cooperation,The Bandarban army zone will also extend all possible cooperation to madrasas and orphanages in the future.

The Iftar items included a total of 07 ingredients including gram,turnips,sugar, dates,oil,khesari pulses and onions.A total of 1 lakh 44 thousand 720 taka iftar items were distributed at the event.This information was confirmed in a press release of Bandarban Army Zone.
