Bandarban District Awami League paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s tomb in Tungipara,Gopalganj.Bandarban district Awami League leaders paid deep respect to Bangabandhu on Saturday (August 5) by placing wreaths at his tomb.
After the wreath laying,the district Awami League leaders stood in silence for a while as part of paying deep respect to the memory of the great architect of freedom.
Bandarban District Awami League General Secretary (Acting) Laxmi Pada Das confirmed the matter.He said,the sad August is a scandalous black chapter of the nation.
Leaders of Bandarban District Awami League prayed for the peace of the departed souls of all the martyrs, including Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,who was martyred in the tragic incident of black night on August 15,1975 And Participated in special prayers.
Bandarban District Awami League Vice President Alhaj Md.Shafiqur Rahman,Uzzal Dash,District Awami League Organizing Secretary Kay Sa Pru,Chowdhury Prakash Barua,Municipal Awami League President Amal Kanti Dash,General Secretary Municipal Mayor Samshul Islam were present at the time.Also,all the members of the District Awami League Executive Committee and Upazila Awami League leaders were present.
