As part of modern Bandarban,The Honorable Prime Minister approved all development projects in the Bandarban Hill District on a priority basis. Bandarban is moving forward in every field including Communication,Education,Health.
Since the government is sincere,There has been a visible improvement in the road communication system including various Bridges,Culverts,Educational institutions with the aim of improving the living standards of the people.
This was stated by Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) While addressing a discussion meeting For the occasion of inauguration of several development works of Lama Upazila on Saturday (July 2).
In The day,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated the 184 meter and CC girder bridge on the Rupsipara-Shilertoya road built on the Matamahuri river at a cost of about Tk 13 crore under the implementation of the Department of Local Government and Engineering.
Minister also said that many development projects from different organizations are underway in 3 hill districts including Bandarban.Once these development projects are implemented, the image of the hilly areas will change.
Hundreds of thousands of people in the three hill districts will enjoy the benefits.The picture of improved living standards of marginalized people will be visible.
On the same day,Minister Bir Bahadur laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development works worth Tk 14.60 Crore for the implementation of CHT Development Board in Ghazalia Union Parishad area.
During the program,Hill Minister distributed 625 solar home systems, 20 ban teutins, agricultural incentives to 70 people and various sports equipments to 20 organizations and educational institutions among the locals.
At This Time Member of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board Implementation Md.Harun-ur-Rashid,Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Pal, Executive Engineer of Local Government and Engineering Department Nazmus Sadat Md.Zillur Rahman,Chairman of Lama Upazila Parishad Md.Mustafa Jamal,Uno Mustafa Jabed Kaysar, Municipal Mayor Md.Zahirul Islam And senior officials of local government and non-government organizations were present.
