As a family,you have to overcome the fear in the minds of the girls in your family and create courage in their minds so that the power to deal with everything easily is created in their minds.

Deputy Commissioner Added,We all have a responsibility and duty to prevent child marriage in remote areas.Child marriage is a social disorder and in order to defeat this disease we all need to create awareness and work together”.

Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji made the remarks as the chief guest at a child marriage free declaration ceremony presided over by Bandarban Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Suraiya Akter Sweety on Tuesday (May 31).Wards 4,6 and 7 of Shualak Union were declared child marriage free at a function held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Room.Additional Superintendent of Police Md.Reza Sarwar, Chairman Bandarban Sadar Upazila Parishad AKM Jahangir,Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Sajia Afrin,Manager of Manusher jonno Foundation Ms.Soma Dutta were present At This Time as special guests.

Atia Chowdhury (Deputy Director) Department of Women’s Affairs,Delivered the welcome address at the function conducted by Mumu Rakhine (Program Officer).Ubanu Marma,Project Coordinator, BNKS, presented the concept paper at the event.
