Kabir bint Tahsin.The girl lives with her parents in the area adjacent to Reicha Bazar in Bandarban Sadar Upazila.The father is a poor farmer and the mother is a housewife.
One of the two brothers studied at Bandarban Government College and the younger brother studied “Hefzo” at a madrasa in Chittagong.
Although the girl struggled with poverty and successfully completed her schooling,it was not possible for her father to continue her studies in college.
Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji has paid for the admission of Kabir bint Tahsin with the aim of overcoming adversity so that the girl can successfully complete her education and become self-reliant.
During this time She handed Tahsin all the books in the science department and advised him to continue his studies.Besides,the deputy commissioner also drew the attention of the principal of Bandarban Government College and requested him to arrange scholarship for Tahsin.
Such a description came up in a Facebook message of the Deputy Commissioner, Bandarban on Wednesday (March 16) at noon.Meanwhile,Not only Reicha student Tahsin,but also last year Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji provided financial assistance to a student from a small ethnic group named Uhai Mong Marma to enroll in a medical college and buy books.
At that time,a check for Rs 30,000 in cash was handed over to Uhai Mong Marma (May 11,2021).On the afternoon of November 18 of the same year,Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji presented a newly made rickshaa to the poor day laborer Md.Abdus Salam at the premises of Bandarban Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
There were tears in Salam’s eyes as he received the gift that day.It was an expression of gratitude and love for the Deputy Commissioner.
In the same year (2021,She gifted a house under the Asrayan project to Monaf,a helpless disabled person from Roangchhari upazila.The deputy commissioner has built a shop with his own funds and bought all the goods of that shop.
Not only that,the news of the purchase as the first buyer of this store brought a storm of praise across the country as a humane and generous deputy commissioner.That Monaf is now living comfortably with the income earned from the shop.
It is to be mentioned that Yasmin Parvin Tibriji is known as a humane deputy commissioner not only in Bandarban but in the whole of Bangladesh due to the quick delivery of humanitarian aid to various helpless people.
Many people have smiled at the various initiatives of the deputy commissioner including the public hearing.
Md.Kayesur Rahman,Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the district administration Said that,Tahsin has been assisted considering the financial condition of the family and the district administration will continue to provide quality education to any meritorious poor and indigent student of the district.
