National Social Service Day has been celebrated in Bandarban by the joint initiative of Directorate of Social Services and bandarba hill district council.On this occasion,on Tuesday (January 2) morning, the Chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council Kyaw Shwe Hla inaugurated the day by blowing balloons in the BHDC premises.
Later,a colorful rally followed the circuit of the main road and a discussion meeting was held in the Bhdc Auditorium.
Bandarban Hill District Council Chairman Kyaw Shwe Hla was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting.Assistant Director Urvashi Dewan conducted the program under presided over by the Deputy Director of Social Services Directorate Milton Muhuri.On this day,New Year’s Braille books were distributed among the visually impaired students.Also scholarships are provided among the residents of the child family.
Incidentally,National Social Service Day 2024 is being celebrated all over the country with the motto “build the country in social service,Bangladesh will be smart”.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Junayed Zahedi,Deputy Director of Women Affairs Directorate Atia Chowdhury,Social Service Officer Satyajit Majumder along with the employees of Social Services Department and various levels of social services departments were present.
