A great decision of the government to facilitate the education of our praimary and high school students is to hand over new books to the students on the first day of the year.Students as well as parents are happy to get this new book.It should be remembered that today’s students are an integral part of our future Smart Bangladesh.
Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the auspicious opening ceremony of book distribution program organized by Bandarban District Primary Education Office and Secondary Education Office on the first day of this year on Monday (January 01).Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Umme Habiba Meera,District Secondary Education Officer Md.Faridul Alam Hossaini,District Primary Education Officer Md.Abul Mannan,Executive Magistrate Rajib Kumar Biswas,Md.Nawab Ali,Press Club President Aminul Islam Baccu,Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mostafizur Rahman and others were present.
Besides,the head teacher of Bandarban Government High School Shampad Barua along with the teachers,students and parents of primary and secondary schools were present.Later this book distribution program started among the students of different educational institutions of Bandarban district.
A total of (3,74,633) three hundred and seventy four thousand six hundred and thirty three new books are being distributed in 435 primary schools in Bandarban district this year.
Among them 14,35 books in Chakma language,14,140 Marma language and 4,880 books in Tripura language are being distributed to pre-primary,first to fifth class students in minority languages.On the other hand, 8 lakh 40 thousand New books are being distributed in hundreds of secondary schools of the district.
