A discussion meeting held on the occasion of the 12th National Parliament election

An exchange meeting was held with journalists on the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections.This exchange of views was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room on Monday (December 18 at noon).Bandarban Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Shah Mujahid Uddin presided over the meeting.

Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin said, to the cooperation of all journalists to complete the elections in a free,fair and beautiful environment in the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections.The district administration is working as per the instructions of the Election Commission so that the elections are held in a fair and peaceful manner.Deputy Commissioner referred to Bandarban district as a harmony district and expressed hope that the election will be completed in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.

Dc Bandarban,also said that if there is any report of disorder in any polling station,that polling station will be closed immediately.
The administration will take strict legal action against anyone who tries to disrupt the election environment and violates the law.Dc Added,called upon all the candidates to abide by the election code of conduct.He said that,both the candidates were clearly informed about several legal regulations during the allocation of symbols.

He called upon all the journalists to submit the application form of the journalists in the election news collection by December 26.The Deputy Commissioner also said that 12 helicopters will be used for election work this time.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md.Fazlur Rahman,Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Shah Alam,Assistant Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Biswas,Assistant Commissioner Zakia Sarwar Lima,District Election Officer SM Shahadat Hossain,Press Club President Aminul Islam (Baccu),Daily Ittefaq representative Milan Chakraborty,Press Club Secretary Minerul Haque and journalists from print and electronic media were present on the occasion.

Incidentally,Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing with Awami League’s boat symbol and Jatiya Party’s ATM Shahidul Islam with plow symbol are contesting in the 12th National Assembly elections in Bandarban Parliamentary Constituency No.300.There are 2 lakh 88 thousand 30 voters in 182 polling stations in Asti.Voting will be held on January 7.
