On the initiative of Regional Information Office,Chittagong and with the cooperation of Bandarban District Administration and District Information Office,an exchange meeting was held with stakeholders on the role of media and civil society in building Smart Bangladesh in Bandarban.Deputy Commissioner Shah Mujahid Uddin was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner Conference Room on Monday (October 9).

Regional Information Office (PID) Chittagong Deputy Chief Information Officer Mir Hossain Ahsanul Kabir presided over the discussion as the keynote speaker, Deputy Chief Information Officer of Information Directorate Md.Abdul Jalil.Additional Deputy Commissioner (OverAll) Md.Fazlur Rahman,Assistant Superintendent of Police Md.Amjad Hossain,Senior Information Officer of Regional Information Office (PID) Chittagong office Marufa Rahman Ema were present.Bandarban District Information Officer Md.Mizanur Rahman performed the responsibility of conducting the meeting.

Representatives of civil society,press club leaders,teachers,journalists and stakeholders attended the exchange meeting and took part in open discussion and expressed important views on what to do in building Smart Bangladesh.In the meeting,the speakers presented the picture of adoption,implementation and progress of various plans adopted by the government in building Smart Bangladesh. At the same time,various plans and initiatives of the government to build a smart Bangladesh by 2041 were also discussed in detail.

The speakers said that the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was to establish a golden Bangladesh.In order to realize his dream,his privileged daughter, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the current government is working relentlessly.Bangladesh has already become a middle income country as the development progress continues.In the coming year 2041,Bangladesh will become developed,prosperous,smart Bangladesh.
