Armed police battalion members arrested one person along with 129 pcs Yaba in Bandarban.On the basis of secret information,a person named Md.Abdul Awal (27) was arrested from Bandarban Bazaar on Sunday (February 26) afternoon.
According to the Armed Police Battalion, 2 APBN conducted this anti-narcotics operation under the direction of the commander (Additional DIG) Ali Ahmad Khan.

SI (retd) Mohiuddin Ahmed, PPM,ASI (retd) Abdul Mannan,ASI (retd) Saidur and Sangeet forces conducted anti-narcotics operations In the Bandarban Town.At that time,on the basis of secret information,a young man named Abdul Awal (27) was searched from the area adjacent to the central mosque of Bandarban Municipality.During the search, 20 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered.Meanwhile, APBN questioned him further.Later,he handed over 109 more Yaba tablets to the police from under the floor of his bedroom.

The Armed Police Battalion also said, Md. Abdul Awal is the son of Md. Ali, a resident of Ward No.3 Kalaghata of Bandarban Sadar.Meanwhile,1 mobile phone used for selling drugs has been seized.Legal action is pending against him.Incidentally, before this last Friday (February 24), members of the Armed Police Battalion conducted an operation and arrested 3 drug dealers from Bandarban Sadar and after filing a case, handed them over to the Sadar police station.
