RAB Raids In Remote Hills In Bandarban, Arrests 5 Militants

RAB arrested five militants in a raid in the remote hilly area bordering Bandarban.RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin confirmed this.
According to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB),The RAB has been conducting  operations on the border of Thanchi and Rowangchari upazilas of the hill district of Bandarban for about three months.Five members of the new militant outfit Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya were arrested in the operation from the training camp of Kuki Chin National Front (KNF),a separatist armed organization in the hill district. However,no weapon could be recovered from them.
Commander Khandaker Al Moin,Director of RAB’s legal and media wing,Gave this information to reporters in an official press conference at the office of RAB-15 in Meghla, Bandarban on Thursday (January 12).
At this time,He also said that 55 militants of the new militant organization “Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya” are staying in the hill.These militants are staying and training in the hideout of hill separatist organization KNF.On receiving such information,RAB members managed to arrest five militants of Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharaqia on January 11.
The arrested persons are Nizamuddin Hiran (30) of Noakhali District,Saleh Ahmed (27) of Comilla,Md.Sadiqur Rahman (30) of Sylhet District,Md.Bayejid Islam (21) of Comilla District and Imran Bin Rahman Lakash (17) of Comilla district.
